Diane C. Pomerantz, PhD

For over 35 years I have been a practicing psychologist, teacher and supervisor. In addition to working with adults and couples dealing with a wide range of issues. In the past, I devoted a great deal of time to the treatment of children and their families. This work has provided me with crucial understanding of human development and the entire life cycle.

I came to Baltimore, MD from Berkeley in 1980. I had recently completed my doctoral studies, having been the Clinical Coordinator of a therapeutic preschool for abused children at Childrens' Hospital in Oakland, California. I completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship at Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital in intensive inpatient psychotherapy with adults. After completing my fellowship I remained on staff at Sheppard-Pratt for 10 years doing intensive long-term therapy as well as short-term cognitive behavioral treatment. In addition to my private practice, I have worked for Baltimore County Public Schools, as well as consulted and supervised in other settings.
